Empowerment!

Teaching pole and aerial arts I have witness some pretty amazing things. Not only have women improved there physical health by becoming active, but I have seen self-confidence increase 100%. Nothing is more empowering that accomplishing something new. I've watched women come in covered from head to toe, because they were so ashamed of their bodies that they didn't want anyone to see them. After only a few classes they realize that we are all women and we all have the same fears. They start to wear shorts and tank tops. I had a student once tell me "I haven't be comfortable enough to wear shorts in over 5 years" and here she was walking around the studio strutting her stuff. Something about Pole fitness and Aerial arts awakens your inner women and makes you feel sexy and strong again. Every women can benefit from that!

Here are some testimonials for you to read for yourself~

Progression!

I've been doing pole for quite some time. A year ago I went under a pretty drastic surgery which set me back quite a bit, I wasn't able to do any form of fitness for about 6 months. Once I returned to class my body was screaming at me, my mind knew what my body should do, but my body physically could not perform. I've taken the last six months to build that strength back up. I ready to move forward now and push my body further than ever. I feel like the only way to be completly happy is to never let your talent "peak" and to always try something new. So from today on I'm going to put it in writing so I can't go back, I will try something new each day! Lets hope for the best, and pray I don't fall too hard.. :-)

Dew Tour After Party

Our studio was privileged to be the sponsored entertainment for the Dew Tour after party at the scrapyard in Ogden. Casey Scott from Channel 2 News promoted the party and recommend our girls to have a part in it. We had ten girls total who spent Friday and Saturday nights upside down and performing to live bands. There were 3 different apparatus hung, 2 aerial silks, and 1 aerial lyra (hoop). We also provided 4 go-go dancers which yours truly took part in for most of the nights when I wasn't hanging from silks. It was great advertisement for our studio and the girls had a blast. Friday night was a little slow because of rapper Ice Cube who was perfoming just two streets down, but saturday was a huge success. It was a wonderful weekend and even though we all are sore from danceing almost 15 hours over the weekend it was well worth it! Thanks to all the dancers who came out!

Auditions!

After much thought and consideration we have decided to put together a performing group of Aerial Dancers with Pole Dancers. We are going to take the best of all forms of circus fitness and mesh them into one amazing group of talented girls! The date is February 12th and we are asking the girls to perform a routine on at least two different apparatatus. I'm super stoked to get this going, we have been talking about it for months and now it's finally in the making! We are anticipating a large turnout and a lot of talent, I'll be judging the auditions along with two other teachers. The group will be performing all over Utah, so watch for a new circus group out of Ogden! The name has yet been decieded, but we are considering a bunch of new ideas.
